The sad dog who went back to the shelter got hundreds of adoption requests

The walls of a Philadelphia animal shelter must be breathing a sigh of relief today. March, a young pit bull mix, had been staring at those walls day and night, ever since his previous adoption fell through, leaving him back at ACCT Philly last week.

But thanks to the heartwarming story published in The Dodo, everything changed. Someone decided to give March another chance. He left the shelter earlier this week, and while we don’t know the anonymous rescuer, we have a feeling it’s going to be different this time.

“They are a highly regarded local group that will put March up for adoption through their shelter,” ACCT Philly revealed. “While he doesn’t have a ‘forever home’ just yet, the move to their no-kill group is incredibly positive for March.”
And boy, did he seize the opportunity! A photo of March leaving the shelter captures a brand-new dog, full of excitement and wonder. No longer trapped by those walls, he’s heading towards a brighter future.

So, let’s celebrate this happy moment and remember that every adoption makes a huge difference. If you’re looking to make a difference too, consider giving a shelter dog a chance at a happy ending through Adopt-a-Pet.com. Together, we can empty more kennels and spread joy to animals in need.
