Elderly dog abandoned in an empty parking lot with nothing but his bed

There are some human beings who are cowards, that’s why the world has so much to evolve and animals teach us all about love!!! Humans are so cruel. What they did to that dog, you can be sure they’ll pay for it one day.

Every day, love grows colder, even more so abandoning an elderly animal to its own fate! The world is truly turning upside down, how regrettable.

In an empty parking lot, a pitbull waited patiently until someone finally found her.

She had been abandoned with nothing but a bed.

It’s possible that the previous owner irresponsibly imagined that the bed would provide some comfort for the dog. He didn’t leave any food or water, nor did he care if it was too cold or too hot.

Abandonment and rescue

Bluebelle is an elderly dog and had only her bed to keep the sun-warmed asphalt of the parking lot from burning her. Someone in the neighborhood contacted the Austin Animal Center, a government agency, which sent a team to the scene.

Rescue center staff found the dog lying down, already resigned to the cruel abandonment she had suffered.

She simply looked at the rescuers with sad, sweet eyes and accepted the treats they had brought her – an indication that she was already used to living with humans.

Bluebelle was taken to the shelter and appeared to be grateful to the rescue team for saving her.

According to rescue center directors, the dog drank a lot of water and then fell asleep, still in her bed, but in a cool environment, without the risk of dehydration.

Bluebelle’s situation

The dog was taken to the veterinary clinic shortly after being admitted to the Austin Animal Center.

Doctors assessed that the pitbull is about nine years old and did not identify any damage to vital organs.

However, Bluebelle had demodectic mange (also called black mange), a disease caused by parasitic mites that affects the skin.

Demodex canis, responsible for the disease, lodges in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands.

Demodectic mange is not contagious. It is transmitted from an infected mother to her puppies during birth or nursing. The disease manifests when the animal has low immunity, when the mites begin to reproduce uncontrollably.

Bluebelle was suffering from the generalized form of the disease, which requires careful treatment.

When demodectic mange appears in puppies aged three to eight months, the signs almost always disappear as the immune system develops and strengthens, without the need for medication.

In Bluebelle’s case, the mange was due to her age and probably neglect from her previous owners.

spreads throughout the body and some skin lesions may rupture, causing bleeding.

The pitbull’s skin was red and raw, with patches of fur in several parts of its body.
