I noticed him sitting by the roadside near a restaurant, clearly in distress. He attempted to lift his injured foot but eventually collapsed, unable to bear his weight.
At just two months old, this little puppy had already faced so much hardship: he was undernourished, unwell, and dehydrated. Witnessing his condition broke our hearts.
His hair was falling out, his skin was dirty and exposed with patches of scabies covering his body. We knew we needed to do everything possible to help him.
I quickly took him to the veterinary hospital, where tests revealed a severe infection—he was positive for both erlichia and anaplasma, and his hemoglobin level was dangerously low at 4.
Fortunately, his leg wasn’t broken but merely swollen. The doctors began treatment immediately with antibiotics, administered medication, fed him, and provided fluid therapy, hoping he’d make it through the night.
Two days later, the doctors shared some good news. The puppy was doing much better. It was like he was a different creature, standing on all fours, eating and sleeping well, and joyfully wagging his tail.

We were thrilled to know he was no longer in immediate danger.
To ensure his full recovery, a comprehensive skin treatment plan was put in place. He continued with antibiotics and underwent deworming to safeguard his health.

Two weeks later, Fenix, as we named him, made an incredible transformation, and the vet declared him ready for adoption. During an interview with Fenix on TVN, a local television channel, host Marelissa was deeply moved by his story.
In a heartwarming turn of events, she decided to adopt him, bringing a joyous conclusion to Fenix’s journey. Everyone involved couldn’t have been happier with this delightful ending to his tale.
